The Practice is situated in the heart of East Barnet Village, opposite the War Memorial and Methodist Church. The building was previously a public house known variously as ‘The Kings Head’ or more recently ‘The Drum’. A good landmark for finding the Practice is the large pink block of flats at the bottom of Cat Hill – the Practice is just across the road from this.
Parking
- There is free parking on the road outside the Practice after 10.00am – PLEASE DO NOT PARK ON THE PAVEMENT OR OVER DROPPED KERBS this may result in a parking fine.
- There are usually free parking spaces in Brookside & Eton Avenue opposite the practice.
- There is a free Car Park behind the shops in Church Hill Road (from which you can cut across the bridge to Brooks
- Brookside opposite the Practice.

Trains
The nearest train stations are Oakleigh Park and New Barnet – they are both about 10 minutes walk from the Practice.

Full cover for out of hours emergencies when we are closed is covered by the Royal Veterinary College (near Potters Bar). Telephone our usual emergency number 020 8440 5742 and follow the instructions on the recorded message. You will be advised how to contact the Royal Veterinary College who will provide you with emergency services.
Animals hospitalised when the surgery is closed will be assessed by the duty vet and nurse to determine the level of monitoring that is required. We do not have dedicated night staff, monitoring patients all night, however, where appropriate we will ensure that the patient is checked by the vet and/or nurse during the night/out-of-hours.
Surgery Hours
We are open seven days a week, excepting Bank Holidays when a 24 hour emergency service is provided.
We see our patients by appointment only and we allow for minimum consultaion periodsof 15 minutes, longer than most Vets, to allow a thorough examination and time to discuss the case with you. You are able to choose which Veterinary Surgeon you wish to see.
